This celebration from Lauren at Stone House Creative has everything I love so much about weddings in Winnipeg. A stylish couple who executed their DIY plans incredibly well, a gorgeous backdrop to suit at the Winnipeg Art Gallery and a wonderful team of vendors that absolutely nailed the couple's vision. Lauren and Heather will walk you through this gorgeous soirée below with images by Kamp Photography.
From Lauren.. Heather and Ryan were a DREAM couple to work with. They have such great style, had incredible vision, and came up with creative ideas and details that set their wedding apart from all the rest. It was definitely one of those weddings that, as a floral designer who never gets to see the main event, I WISH I could have been a guest at! Details were minimal, curated, and in a crisp black and white palette with touches of burgundy and peach. A family friend welded an incredible custom metal arch for the rooftop ceremony, which was a dream to fill with florals.
From bride Heather.. Ryan and I both envisioned a modern, minimalist wedding. As an interior designer, I have a love of graphics. I designed all the stationery with the intent of introducing a little humor and fun into the day. Additionally, Ryan loves plants and greenery and requested that we have as much greenery as possible. Lauren of Stone House Creative did an exceptional job of bringing this request to life. Having previously attended a wedding at the WAG we knew right away that we needed to book this venue, as their food was exceptional!
My dress was one of the very first dresses I tried on. I didn’t buy it right away, and Lore and her staff, at Bliss Bridal Boutique were so patient with me as I returned on numerous occasions to try on more dresses. However, months later when I tried the dress on again I just knew I had to have it. It was absolutely perfect!
Ryan made a visit Vittorio Rossi Clothiers and right away knew he was in good hands, our expectations from day one were exceeded, we were well taken care of.
Our favourite moment of the day was our first look. It was one of the few moments where it was just Ryan and I. The moment Ryan turned around we both could not stop smiling and laughing, we were both just so happy and excited. This moment seemed to last forever which was so nice, as the rest of the day flew by!
We wanted our ceremony to be filled with those who we love most. My uncle officiated our ceremony, my cousin walked my mother down the aisle, and our friend who is more like our sister read “the law of wellness”.
