Adam + Kristy chose Aspire Studios for photos which was the perfect back drop to accentuate their sleek, modern style. I could not love this white on white vibe more.

It was a beautifully sunny and warm fall day with a lot of wind. That's the Canadian prairies for you!

From Kristy... For the wedding party the biggest thing is that I wanted them to be comfortable and happy. This meant scouring tirelessly online for the perfect navy dress that the girls would not only all love, but also not break the bank. I wanted something simple and elegant and to not have that bridesmaid dress feel. The long flowing fabric and the delicate lace on the sleeves and back did just the trick and we ordered all of them from Asos. For the gentleman we didn't want anything too crazy just a nice basic black suit which they got from EPH Apparel.

The ceremony and reception both took place at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. And what a gorgeous back drop it was.

Our vision throughout the planning process was intimate and romantic with modern touches. We both love a mixture of vintage rustic and sleek modern styles but our main focus was to have the night feel full of love. We wanted everyone in the room to feel the love we have for each other and to those that attended.

It's hard to pick just one favourite detail when you spend months planning each and every one but I think the way the string lights turned out for both the ceremony and the reception was one. It was a difficult thing to put trust into something and not know how it will end up looking but Lights Unlimited did a phenomenal job at bringing our vision to life.

The most memorable moment that I will not forget for the rest of my life is when I was able to pull off a big surprise for Adam. One of his favourite musicians happened to be playing a show in Winnipeg the same night of our wedding. After a very improbable attempt at emailng his booking agent and various back and forths later he somehow agreed to help me surprise Adam.

While Adam thought we were leaving the cocktail party to start our first dance for everyone to see - Hayden (!) was actually already set up and playing as we walked down the ramp of the venue. To see the look of shock and pure joy on his face will remain one of the happiest moments of my life. I was so nervous about pulling this off and to have it work out so well was a dream come true. Getting to be around everyone in the world that means the most to us while having him sing just for us was something we'll never forget.

Congratulations you two! xoxo.
