COPPER AND SLATE HOLIDAY TABLE
One of my favourite things is having a cozy holiday home. I was inspired to design a table scape to inspire beyond the traditional red, silver and green colour palette by using copper tones, crisp white florals, slate and cement for a fresh take on setting your table this holiday season. Stone House Creative crafted the most perfect floral arrangement to accompany and these images by Janine Kropla Photography are stunning. HutK generously hosted us and provided their gorgeous table top wares and furnishings. Here are a few simple ideas to inspire you as you plan your table tops this week.
Get creative with coverings.. This table runner is actually a wool blanket! It gives the table a cozy feel and provides a fresh take on a traditional table runner.
Incorporate a simple DIY.. You don't have to be a master crafter to incorporate a DIY in your table setting. Something as simple as using fresh berries accompanied by place cards or creating a simple napkin tie out of leather will impress your guests and not keep your hands tied crafting leaving time to stay on top of important details. Aren't those Menu Marble and Cement Chunk Candle Holders everything?!
Have two (or more!) centrepieces.. We all know how the guest list tends to grow by the minute this time of year so surely there will be room and/or additional tables to incorporate more than one centrepiece. I love fresh florals but I also love fresh fruit on the table as a statement piece. This is as simple as using something from your menu and tucking in some loose ingredients from your floral arrangement. Lauren from Stone House Creative styled this beautiful arrangement in the Menu Circular Bowl from HutK using fresh pears which are part of our cocktail menu.
This festive Spiced Ginger Pear Cocktail is perfect for large gatherings! Happy table styling!
